About

T-Hi, I’m Kelly Maroney.  First, let me say thank you for taking the time to read my blog!   When I started blogging, I thought it was a real possibility that it would be read by two people: my mom and my sister!  So, I’m thrilled to be able to share my stories with more than my immediate family members.  You can learn why I started blogging in the first place here.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  As a working mom, I’m constantly trying to strike the perfect balance between my career and my home life.  I’m the Marketing Director for an IT consulting company.  And while I love my job, my real passion is my family.

I actually met my husband in high school.  We lived around the corner from each other.  Rode the same bus to school.  But we never talked…were never friends.  I thought he was a “nerd”…he thought I was a “snob”.  However, it’s funny how things change over time.  About 10 years later, we “re-met” in grad school.  I was sitting in my first class and I looked up and saw him.  I instantly recognized him.  He sat down next to me, and the rest…well, the rest is history.  We dated 4 years and were married in 2007.

untitled-164658We have our hands full at home with 2 little people–a highly energetic daughter, Madeline and a super-sweet little boy, Colin.

Besides spending time at home with my “peeps”, I have lots of interests.  I recently ran my first marathon–a true life changing event for me.  Not so much the actual race, but in the training I realized that things that I once considered absolutely impossible, weren’t….that I could do anything if I worked for it.  I also love indulging my creative side–writing and reading have been long loves for me and I’ve also started learning about photography.

Two of my core beliefs…

  1. I believe that everyone has the ability to make a real difference in the world…you just have to put your mind to it.
  2. That life is short–you need to make it count.  Kindness, love and generosity are the keys to making this happen.

Happy reading!
